"My Fight For Irish Freedom" by Dan Breen This is an autobiography by Dan Breen which tells the tale of his fight for freedom with the third Tipperary brigade. The third Tipperary brigade is one of the most famous in the country and played a very active part in the war of independence. Because of this Breens story is a story well worth reading, he was there when Sean Treacy fired the first shots of the war of independence at Soloheadbeg. | ![]() |

"Brave New World" Aldous Huxley. Huxley's website can be found at http://www.huxley.net, well obviously its not actually his but anyway. This is one of those books that everyone is supposed to read. You just have to, it will change your life. It helps people to realise that life sucks and it always will. This book predicts a world where cloning and genetic engeneering are the norm and babies are no longer born but produced in decanting centers where things are done similar to an assembly line at Dell. It condemns communism and fascism because they discourage freedom of thought. This book is probably part of the reason that we dont live in the dystopia described here. Brave New World is a world without love, relationships and sadness(which is illiminated by the drug, soma which the gevernment prescribe to keep the masses under control.). A similiar world is already existing among us today, its called the dance music scene. | ![]() |

"One of Us" Michael Marshall Smith Click on his name to take you to the official website. This book is set in the future, a future where big brother is watching you and there have been some major technical advances. You no longer browse the net, you now get into a virtual car and drive through it. It is a somewhat religious book and shows how religion and technology can exist side by side. | ![]() |
